SEOUL FASHION WEEK FW18

Over the past years, I've grown an interest for fashion. From doing content creation for Urban Outfitters Hawaii and producing national campaigns (1, 2, 3, 4) for the national Urban Outfitters brand to spearheading a marketing campaign for the grand opening of Shinola Detroit's first Honolulu store and becoming the Digital Content Manager for local premiere women's boutique Homecoming Honolulu, I knew fashion was an industry I wanted to pursue my career in. I hate routine; and fashion never follows the norm--rather, it disrupts it in so many different ways.

With that in mind, the moment I found out I was coming to South Korea for a semester, I told myself I'd get involved with Seoul Fashion Week. After dozens of emails to designers whom I felt their brand was intriguing, I finally received an email back from DOZOH Studios that offered me a backstage photography pass to their show. Although I initially hoped for seat tickets to watch the show, things happen the way they do, so I was glad to have been granted the backstage pass! It was fun being in a different kind of behind-the-scenes setting. Plus, it worked out perfectly with my school schedule. The show was on the 3rd day of SFW, a Thursday, and I don't have school on Thursdays. Thank you DOZOH for the opportunity!

Things got interesting when the roles reversed and I was the one being photographed while walking around. I noticed some street style photographers taking photos of my outfit so of course I had to pose for the camera.. that was fun haha. (I have yet to find those photos and regret not asking the photographers for their contact information, but it's okay).
